The Sena Stryker takes the opposite approach to a bolt-on intercom: instead of adding comms to a helmet you chose, the comms is the helmet. It builds Harman Kardon speakers and mics, plus both Mesh and 4-way Bluetooth, directly into the shell. The result is the cleanest possible install — no box on the side, no wires to route, no compromised aerodynamics — and genuinely premium audio.
A note on certification, since it's the theme of this site: a comms unit carries no helmet safety rating — the shell it's built into does. So an integrated smart helmet means the comms and the safety decision are made together, which is exactly the trade-off to think about before buying.
The audio is the highlight
Harman Kardon speakers and microphones are a real step up from generic integrated audio — clearer music, better call quality, and mics that cut wind better than most. Because it's engineered into the helmet rather than bolted on, there's no rattle and no extra wind noise from an external unit.
Mesh and Bluetooth, both
The Stryker runs Sena Mesh for large self-healing group rides and standard 4-way Bluetooth for smaller setups and phone pairing. If your group runs Sena, the Mesh integration is seamless. See how Mesh compares to a bolt-on in our Cardo vs Sena comparison.
Who should skip it
Anyone who already owns a helmet they love, or who wants to choose their helmet purely for its certification— a bolt-on like the Cardo Packtalk Edge keeps those decisions separate. And note that Sena doesn't publish an IP waterproof rating for the Stryker, so treat it as water-resistant rather than fully weatherproof.

How we picked
We do not crash-test helmets
We compiled published specifications, cited each helmet's certification (DOT, ECE 22.06, Snell, SHARP) from the standards body or manufacturer homologation, and aggregated owner reports, then scored against a published method. The scores are judgments from documented research — not measurements we took. We do not run a crash lab. Certifications reflect the US-market build; where it differs from the European version, we say so and cite it.

We do not run a crash lab, and we do not pretend to. Certifications are cited to the standards body or the manufacturer's stated homologation; where a US model's certification differs from its European namesake, we say so. Where we could not verify something, we say so on the page rather than quietly leaving it out. Read our full method.
